Mary Zell Galen is a museum professional passionate about community-oriented science, history, and arts institutions. She currently works as the Administrative Coordinator at the Virginia Museum of Natural History, where she able to support the museum's executive director, board of trustees, and advancement program.

She earned her master’s degree in science museum studies from the Cooperstown Graduate Program at SUNY Oneonta. She received her bachelor's degree from Longwood University in 2019, where she majored in history, with a concentration in public history, and a minor in business administration.

 

Outside of work, she enjoys spending her free time reading, running, and visiting other museums.
